The Shaykh set up the council 30 years ago with the sole aim of helping Muslim couples with marital problems. The Hajveri Council works with a number of mediators, legal experts and Islamic scholars ensuring that all cases taken on are assessed objectively. As a Council, we strive to positively stimulate a working outcome and solution whilst adopting a friendly and caring approach entrenched in the values of the Qur’an and Sunnah.
The Shaykh have also practised as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in England and Wales. They are one of the very few specialist practitioners in England and Wales to have provided expert evidence in cases with an Islamic Law dimension to the Supreme Court in civil cases as well as to the Crown Court in complex family law cases.
As well as assisting on all matters pertaining to mediation and Islamic divorce, the Shaykh is also the founder and senior lecturer at the Hajveri Institute where they teach the Sacred Sciences of Islamic Law and Theology.
