Conciliatory Mediaton

Conciliatory mediation seeks to identify past and present problems between husband and wife. This is so we can create a framework to avoid reoccurrences of the same issues. On the day of mediation, you will meet with a scholar of Islamic Law and an independent member of the community.

Both parties will have the opportunity to present the difficulties they face. We will listen to the issues and then help both parties reach a fair and mutually agreeable solution. At the end of this process, a formal agreement is drafted and executed for future reference.

Amicable Cessation Mediation

Amicable cessation mediation is used where the wife or husband or both believe that their marriage has irretrievably broken down, and they want help settling matters relating to matrimonial assets and children without having to go to court. On the day of mediation, you will meet with a scholar of Islamic Law, a person with UK legal experience such as a lawyer or barrister and an independent member of the community.

Both parties will have the opportunity to disclose all matrimonial assets, income and expenditures and their proposal on how to deal with matters pertaining to the children. We will help both parties reach a fair and a mutually agreed solution. At the end of this process, a formal agreement is drafted and executed and where necessary filed with the courts.
