Adjudication

Sometimes the husband and wife are finding it difficult to operate harmoniously because of unfortunate past events. This can include allegations of subjection, oppression, and abuse where the alleged person denies this. In this scenario, an independent adjudication can be helpful.

On the day of adjudication, both parties will meet with a scholar of Islamic Law, a person with UK legal experience such as a lawyer or barrister and an independent member of the community. Our panel will consider the evidence and make a formal determination, which helps the couple put behind them unfortunate historic matters that they themselves have not been able to move on from.

Divorce

When a marriage has irretrievably broken down, the process of dissolution often adds to acrimony between both parties. Such hostilities can create further instability in the lives of both parties and more importantly for any children. The profound impact upon children expresses itself in many ways, both in the short and long term.

It is therefore paramount that if the parties have collectively or individually concluded that the marriage has irretrievably broken down, any dissolution takes place swiftly and all outstanding contentious matters are dealt with as soon as possible.

There are four ways in which we can assist in dissolving a marriage in Islamic law
